LG Xenon rumors

Some rumors concerning the new LG Xenon have come our way and they have it that, apparently, the AT&T labs are undergoing tests on this LG phone right now. Furthermore, it seems that this will be its new 3G text handset for the holidays that are drawing near at a fast pace.

Not too many details are known about the LG Xenon, but all things point to it being a handset high-end designed. However, we did manage to dig up some specs for it, and they only come to confirm the above statement.

Let's not delay this any longer, and head straight to the specs of this little, slide-out, full QWERTY piece of jewelry. The phone has a large 2.8-inch display with a maximum resolution of apparently 240×480, a 3 megapixel camera with VGA video recording capabilities, a GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0 connectivity, accelerometers, a proximity sensor, and full 3G support. The dimensions are quite normal for a slide-out with QWERTY keyboard, meaning 05.5 x 53.5 x 15.8 mm. It also comes with 100 MB of internal memory that is completed with the microSD slot that supports up to 16GB.

With all these features, the LG Xenon is likely to not come in cheap – and it’s almost certain that it won't come for free with an AT&T contract. Even so, we're still waiting for the full specs, especially since what we have right now doesn't answer all the questions about the new LG phone.

This handset, which looks like it was intended to be a smartphone, does raise some interesting questions in all potential users, like what OS the LG team will install on it, and what kind of multimedia and office features it will offer. Hopefully, the device will pack all of the above, as opposed to the KC780, which has only a strong point: its camera. With all that, we will have to wait a bit longer for all our questions to be answered and hopes to be met, if at all.
