14 DAY TRIAL // AT&T has decided to launch two Windows Phone devices on April 8, the Nokia Lumia 900 and HTC Titan II. The latter is also scheduled for an early April release in Australia via Telstra.
According to AT&T, HTC Titan II will be available for purchase for as low as $199.99 (150 EUR) with a new two-year agreement. The carrier has yet to announce the suggested retail price of the Titan II, but we can assume it won’t come below $600 (450 EUR).
Customers who are looking to purchase an LTE-enabled smartphone will probably choose the Nokia Lumia 900 over the Titan II due to the lower price.
However, HTC Titan II offers a larger display and a monster camera. Just like its predecessor, HTC Titan II sports a vibrant 4.7-inch Super LCD WVGA capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.
Aside from LTE support, HTC Titan II’s selling point is the incredible 16-megapixel rear photo snapper, which features autofocus, LED flash, BSI sensor, image stabilization, face detection and HD (720p) video recording.
There’s also a secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls, as well as Wi-Fi, DLNA, GPS and Bluetooth support.
HTC Titan II is a tier, one Windows Phone device as the smartphone is equipped with a 1.5 GHz single-core Qualcomm S2 Snapdragon processor, which is complemented by 512MB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.
The phone measures 132 x 69 x 13 mm and weighs almost 150g (battery included), which makes slightly lighter than Lumia 900 that weighs exactly 160g.
The Titan II is powered by a 1730 mAh Li-Ion battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer. Obviously, it runs Windows Phone 7.5 Mango and doesn’t come with microSD card slot for memory expansion.
