Next week, a new mobile phone will become available for purchase on AT&T's airwaves, the Pantech Pursuit II, a quick messaging device that would feature a price tag of $49.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier. The new handset comes with a stylish, compact design, and packs a full range of features, including USB 2.0 connectivity and a full HTML browser for PC-like web browsing.

Moreover, the new device comes to the market with various social media applications on the home screen, offering one-touch access, as well as with mobile email capabilities, so that users can stay connected at all times.

It also sports a built-in GPS receiver, with support for AT&T Navigator for turn-by-turn directions, as well as a 2-megapixel photo snapper with video recording capabilities and fixed focus.

“By installing Brew MP across quick messaging phones like the Pantech Pursuit II, AT&T and software developers are able to more easily offer smartphone-like applications to customers who want a full-featured messaging phone,” the wireless carrier notes.

The devices also sports a 2.8” touchscreen display, as well as a vertical sliding keyboard. It supports drag and drop shortcuts, and offers users the possibility to customize a number of three screens.

The new Pantech Pursuit II should prove a great option for all those who are looking for a feature-rich messaging device.

“AT&T welcomes Pantech’s latest quick messaging phone to our industry-leading device portfolio,” said Mike Woodward, vice president, Mobile Device Portfolio, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets.

“The Pantech Pursuit II offers great value to our customers who want a feature-rich device that’s practical yet stylish.”

Starting with July 17th, AT&T customers will be able to purchase the new device in pink or green from the carrier's stores and online on its website, for $49.99 with a two-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate.
