In the next couple of months, we should see wireless carrier AT&T making available for purchase a new tablet PC, one that comes from Sony, complementing the Xperia ion handset.

Sporting the name of Crystal, the new device should offer support for the wireless carrier’s HSPA+ network, though it would not support its LTE airwaves. The Sony Xperia ion smartphone, instead, will offer LTE connectivity to AT&T's users.

Rumor has it that the new device, most probably running under Google’s Android platform, will sport a price tag of $409.99 when made available.

AT&T is gearing up for the release of some appealing new devices in the first quarter of the current year, including two Windows Phone devices, namely the Nokia Lumia 900 and the HTC TITAN II.

Moreover, it will also launch the previously announced Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD and the Samsung Exhilarate.
