Today, wireless carrier AT&T announced the upcoming availability of a new Windows Phone 7 handset on its airwaves, the HTC HD7S, which should pack the largest screen available on an AT&T handset powered by Microsoft's mobile operating system.

Packing a fast 1 GHz application processor inside, the new device would also sport a 4.3-inch touchscreen display.

The new device is similar in specs with the HTC HD7 smartphone that was launched on T-Mobile's airwaves last year, but it sports a Super LCD display, instead of the AMOLED screen on the original device.

Moreover, the handset would arrive on shelves with copy and paste capability, which was not available with the initial Windows Phone 7 OS version, but was announced as arriving on handsets in late March as a software update (the much discussed NoDo).

The wireless carrier did not unveil specific info on the availability of the new mobile phone, but did say that HTC HD7S is expected to hit all company-owned AT&T retail locations, as well as the operator's website, in the coming weeks.

Among the features list of the new device, we can also count fast access to the Windows Phone Marketplace, where users would find a number of over 10,000 applications available for download for them.

The phone would also sport a preloaded U-verse Mobile application, which should offer users the possibility to easily download and watch hit TV shows on their Windows Phone. U-verse Mobile is available for non-U-Verse users for $9.99 a month with a broad selection of programming.

Other features and specs of the new handset would also include: Easily See Everything: Email, Microsoft SharePoint sites, and movies are crisp and clear on the HTC HD7S.

Get to Everything Fast: Customizable Windows Phone 7 Live Tiles and Hubs put what’s most important - Microsoft Office Mobile, contacts, messages, photos, and more - up front. It’s all constantly updated so you see the latest information.

Capture Everything You See: Snap photos with the 5MP camera with dual LED flash and share them online. Shoot, send, and save HD video without getting low on storage. The HD7S boasts 16 GB of internal user memory. Find Everything You Need: Location-aware Bing search makes discovery and decisions easy.

They Thought of Everything: Xbox LIVE and Zune deliver on-the-go games, music, and movies. And with stereo headphones, the smartphone’s Dolby Mobile surround sound and kickstand let you watch and listen hands-free.
