AT&T's Fuze, the re-branded HTC Touch Pro, has quickly become one of the most popular Windows Mobile smartphones on the market. The only thing that kept the device from seeing an even greater traction among users was its rather high cost, yet this seems to have changed a little, as the phone can now be seen on NewEgg.com featuring a price tag of only $150.

AT&T's Fuze comes with a 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen with a 480 x 640 pixel resolution and over 262,000 colors, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 3.2-megapixel auto-focus camera/ camcorder, aGPS, WiFi, 3G data, as well as support for HTC's TouchFlo 3D tactile touchscreen technology. The handset runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional.

Other features of the smartphone include Streaming TV and music, MP3 player, Attachment viewing, Bluetooth connectivity, voice driven menus, HTML web browsing, speakerphone, compatibility with GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and WCDMA 850/1900/2100 networks, EV-DO Rev A and HSDPA data transfer support and microSD memory card slot. AT&T's Fuze comes with a Li-Ion battery capable of offering up to 380 minutes of talk time and up to 460 hours of standby time. The phone measures 4.0 in x 2.0 in x 0.7 in and weighs only 5.8 oz.

The features of the handset as well as its flexibility are able to push it to the front almost all the time and can enhance the user experience whether at work, at school, at the gym, at home or in town at night. The keyboard comes with a soft-touch finish that will probably bring users a lot of joy, while the TouchFLO 3D UI is able to keep everything well organized.

The new price the AT&T Fuze comes with is considerably lower than the original one. Although a two-year contract is required and there are some mail-in rebates you need to consider as well, the $150 price tag seems like a good deal for this Windows Mobile smartphone.
