Tree-lovers everywhere have been shocked to hear and even see proof of AT&T's huge iPhone bills. The reason was that the operator had decided to send every single detail of the customer's use of their services, with no consideration for the paper that got wasted in the process.

After a large number of reactions coming from people
everywhere, AT&T has finally made the smart choice of choosing the more modern solution and placing all this information on a website. Some bills were 50 pages long, others 75, while others spread over more than 300 pages, which should qualify for a record if such a thing would ever be considered.

Who has ever heard of bills spreading over hundreds of pages, just like a novel? It turned out to be an incredibly bad strategy from AT&T, as this only made it easier to picture the terrible weight that many people have felt when considering to close a contract with them in order to be able of owning an iPhone. The data plan and additional costs are hard to bear by many people, but showing their weight, literally, in tons of paper, is just one big blunder coming from AT&T.

The carrier has sent SMS messages to all their subscribers, stating that "We are simplifying your paper bill, removing itemized detail. To view all detail go to att.com/mywireless. still need full paper bill? call 611". How come they didn't think of that before? Still, a huge number of trees have been already saved, only as a result of their choice to keep this shocking detailed bill a one time wonder.

It looks like AT&T will switch back to envelopes after having to send the iPhone bills to their subscribers in boxes. As a result, they too will have to benefit from lower bill sending taxes. Subscribers, AT&T and the trees too all have a win.
