Windows Phone users of wireless carrier AT&T in the United States have been left out of the latest set of updates that other people received from Microsoft.

The latest update pushed out globally for Windows Phones, namely 8107, will not arrive on AT&T’s handsets, and the carrier was clear on the matter.

While this won’t change, AT&T has confirmed that they won’t block all updates for the Windows Phone.

In fact, the carrier is set to provide users with access to newer platform releases, which means that the recently announced Tango flavor of the OS might soon turn into an update for AT&T’s devices.

“AT&T plans for a Windows Phone update that will contain the improvements in the 8107 update and more,” Stacey Harth, a spokeswoman for AT&T, told WPCentral.

No specific release date for the update has been made official at the moment.
