Dallas, Texas-based wireless carrier AT&T announced on Monday that it had added more devices to its mobile broadband-enabled netbook offering. The new additions include three netbooks, namely the Acer Aspire One, the Dell Inspiron Mini 10, and the Lenovo S10, and are expected to become available for purchase both via the company's stores and online in the coming days.

In addition to the new products, AT&T also announced that it would start offering AT&T ConnecTech services, which have been designed specifically to fit the needs of its netbook customers. Subscribers will be able to enjoy three options that the service comes with and which can be acquired along with the netbooks from the carrier. According to AT&T, the prices for these options range from $99 for remote online support to $199 for in-home technical support.

“Lightweight and connected, netbooks continue to interest consumers and small business customers,” said David Christopher, chief marketing officer, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. “We expect that, paired with AT&T home broadband, Wi-Fi, and the nation’s fastest 3G mobile broadband network, they’ll have great appeal to busy, on-the-go consumers and working professionals. We’re offering an impressive suite of the latest and greatest connected devices.”

The Acer Aspire One, the first new device heading towards AT&T's users, will become available through all AT&T stores across the country, while Dell Inspiron Mini 10 and Lenovo S10 only in some of them. The devices will feature a price tag of $199.99 upon the signing of a 2-year contract agreement with the company and after a mail-in rebate via AT&T Promotion Card.

The main features that the new machines come with include 10-inch screens and a less-than-3-pounds weight. Those who would like to acquire one of them should know that they will need to sign up for a two-year AT&T DataConnect plan (a 200MB plan that goes for $40 per month or a 5GB plan priced at $60 per month).

When it comes to the hardware specs of the new devices, we can count an Intel Atom processor, 1GB of memory, 160GB hard drive, high-definition audio and built-in webcam for the Acer Aspire One; Intel Graphics Media Accelerator, integrated audio, 1GB of memory, 160GB hard drive and built-in webcam for the Dell Inspiron Mini 10; and 3G and WiFi connectivity, as well as 1GB of memory, 160GB of storage and built-in webcam for the Lenovo S10. All three run under Microsoft Windows XP Home.
