AT&T has slashed prices for some of the most popular smartphones in its lineup, for a limited time. The carrier's new promotion is not limited to a specific mobile platform and includes devices running Android, Blackberry and Windows Phone 7.

It appears that AT&T is in dire need to deplete stocks of old smartphones, as its roadmap for 2011 looks pretty crowded.

However, those who wish to buy any of the five smartphones available through this promotion will have to commit to new two-year agreements with minimum $15 per month data plans.

Samsung Captivate, BlackBerry Torch, Samsung Focus, LG Quantum and BlackBerry Curve 3G will be available for purchase at a reduced price.

The Android 2.2 powered Samsung Captivate will be available for just $99.99. The handset features a large 4-inch Super AMOLED display, 1 GHz Hummingbird processor, PowerVR SGX540 GPU, 512 MB RAM and 16 GB of internal memory expandable up to 32 GB through the included microSD card slot.

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 can now be purchased from AT&T for $49.99. RIM's smartphone comes with BlackBerry 6 OS on board and rich browsing, integrated social feeds and universal search. Users will also have access to BlackBerry App World, which features carrier billing support.

Samsung Focus is one of the thinnest Windows Phone 7 smartphones at 9.9mm and is available for only $49.99. The handset comes with a Super AMOLED touchscreen, 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Adreno 200 GPU, 512 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM and 8GB of internal memory.

LG Quantum is priced at $49.99 and is the second Windows Phone 7 side-slider included with AT&T's promotion. In addition to Microsoft's Office Mobile, the LG Quantum also features DLNA technology through a preloaded application called Play To.

The BlackBerry Curve 3G smartphone is the cheapest on offer, at only $29.99. It features the same classic BlackBerry QWERTY keyboard, and offers access to BlackBerry App World. Additionally, it is BlackBerry 6 OS ready.
