It offers only bug fixes, no upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

Wireless carrier AT&T has started to push out a new software update for the owners of an LG Optimus G E970 handset on its network.

Unfortunately, as the guys over at Android Central note, users will remain on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich even after this update.

The new software arrives on devices as version E97011c (build IMM76L), and AT&T’s support page suggests that it will resolve an issue with users getting a blank screen when accessing the browser.

The smartphone has already been said to be getting an upgrade to the newer Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, yet it seems that its users at AT&T will have to wait a bit longer for it to arrive.

However, since the device has already received Jelly Bean on other networks in the US, it might not be too long before it tastes it at this carrier as well.
