AT&T has just announced that it has signed an agreement with Bazaarvoice to offer its customers an easier way to socialize through Facebook. The innovative service enables users to read, share and submit product reviews directly on the AT&T Facebook fan page.

The carrier is known for offering product ratings and reviews on its site since 2008. With the new service, AT&T becomes one of the first telecom companies to bring customer ratings and reviews onto Facebook.

According to the carrier, the Bazaarvoice service will help consumers make better purchase decisions and connect more closely to the AT&T brand through their peers.

“The digital customer voice is the single most transformative force in commerce today. Browsing product reviews has become an integral part of the online purchase process for more than 70% of consumers, and we recognize the importance of bringing those customer conversations to the forefront of our business,” said Christopher Baccus, Executive Director of Digital and Social Media at AT&T.

“With the holidays quickly approaching, we believe our new Ratings & Reviews integration on Facebook will help our customers quickly and easily find the right products," added Baccus.

Bazaarvoice provides AT&T customers with the possibility to share their feedback on the carrier's devices and accessories.

Through the carrier's Facebook official page, visitors can review a wide range of different devices and accessories with the help of a five-star scale, which is supposed to measure the customer's overall satisfaction.

Other features provided by the Bazaarvoice service include the possibility to read recent reviews that were posted directly on Facebook or the carrier's site, as well as browse reviews of featured, top or popular products.

In addition, the service features a “buy it now” option. Customers can click on the link to quickly access a specific product page on the carrier's site.
