The first 3D Android smartphone launched on the market, LG's Optimus 3D is about to make its debut at AT&T as LG Thrill 4G.

Rumor has it that the handset will be available for purchase via Target retailer beginning September 4, which might not comes as a surprise as AT&T has just confirmed that LG Thrill 4G will be available on the market on September 4.

Those who are excited about the upcoming device are invited to share their thoughts on the phone's 'Coming Soon' page:

AT&T also confirmed the price tag for the LG Thrill 4G, which will be available for as low as $99.99 with a new two-year agreement.

However, it seems that Target has a slightly better offer, as the retailer will sell the handset for $79.99 with a new two-year plan.

Initially, the LG Thrill 4G was slated for 21-27 August release timeframe, but the carrier was forced to delay it due to its late LTE network deployment.

Fortunately, AT&T has just started to flip on its 4G LTE services in several major cities across the country and is expected to continue to deploy its high-speed network in the next several weeks.

LG Thrill 4G is AT&T's first 3D smartphone and comes with similar features as the original Optimus 3D.

The smartphone is powered by Google's Android 2.2 (Froyo), which is upgradable to Gingerbread, but not until October.

Furthermore, the handset is equipped with a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor clocked at 1GHz, complemented by a PowerVR SGX540 GPU.

Obviously, the phone fully supports AT&T 4G network and offers users data transfer speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps download and up to 5.76 Mbps upload.
