14 DAY TRIAL // HTC and AT&T already confirmed that the former’s top-tier Android smartphone, the HTC One X, would be available for purchase exclusively through the carrier’s store locations and online.
However, it appears that a collaboration between HTC and AT&T is much closer than expected, as the carrier announced that a certain Beats by Dr. Dre Beatbox Portable high-performance wireless audio system would be launched the next week.
The multimedia accessory will be available in white and black, exclusively from AT&T at company-owned stores or online beginning March 11 for 399 US dollars (300 Euro).
The device targets customers who want to enjoy their favorite music above all else. With Beats By Dr. Dre users will be able to experience rich, full sounds with “professional-grade sound engineering.”
Basically, the music sound does not feature any how distortions at higher volumes and strong bass at all levels, exactly how the artist intended.
According to AT&T, the Beatbox will be sampled on AMERICAN IDOL Wednesday March 14 on FOX, when Beats By Dr. Dre co-founder Jimmy Iovine includes the new wireless audio system into his training sessions with the finalists.
The Portable comes with a built-in Dock Connector for smartphones or portable music players, as well as Bluetooth wireless. A 5.25 inch woofer and 3.5 MM input for other sources are available as well.
Aside from the Beats By Dr. Dre Beatbox, AT&T will also launch a Wireless HD Stereo Bluetooth Headphones ($280), Beats Solo HD Headphones ($200) and UR Beats In-ear Headphones ($99).
