We already reported last week on the latest rumors that indicate AT&T plans to start taking pre-orders for Nokia Lumia 920 on October 21.

Well, it looks like those rumors were accurate as the folks over at TheVerge have been able to confirm from a source close to the matter that AT&T will indeed kick off pre-orders for several Windows Phone 8 devices on October 21.

First of all, Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC Windows Phone 8X will be available for pre-order via AT&T beginning October 21. Secondly, the Samsung Ativ Smart PC and Asus Vivo Tab RT will also be up for pre-order starting October 21.

According to TheVerge’s insider, both tablets are slated for an October 26 release on the market, though we’re still waiting for an official confirmation from Microsoft and/or AT&T.

Unfortunately, Windows Phone 8 enthusiasts will have to wait a bit longer until they are able to grab their favorite devices, as AT&T is expected to release the Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC Windows Phone 8X smartphones in early November.

In fact, rumor has it that the Lumia 920 will hit shelves at AT&T on November 4, but we’re waiting for more sources to confirm it.

Although the HTC Windows Phone 8X will be available for purchase in the US from multiple carriers, the Nokia Lumia 920 is an AT&T exclusive.

According to the latest hearsay, AT&T agreed to fully subsidy the Lumia 920 in order to get this exclusivity over Nokia upcoming flagship Windows Phone device.

On the other hand, Microsoft is only partly subsidizing the HTC Windows Phone 8X launch in the US, in an attempt to set the platform apart from the Lumia series.

While we have no details on the Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC 8X pricing options, we expect more info to leak closer to launch, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
