Gamers can now get access to more data for more money

Telecom company AT&T announced that it had changed the pricing for the 3G data services for the upcoming PlayStation Vita handheld from Sony.

The smallest plan is still a 250 MB traffic limited one for 30 days, which will sell for 15 dollars (11.6 Euro), but a plan that was set to sell for 25 dollars (20.6 Euro) with 2 GB included announced in December has now been replaced by one offering traffic of 3 GB and costing 30 dollars (23.2 Euro).

The new deal is somewhat better and might address complaints that AT&T is offering limited traffic for a high price to its PlayStation Vita customers.

The new handheld will be launched on February 22 in both North America and in Europe, and Sony is probably hoping that the new gaming platform will perform better than it has so far done on the Japanese market, where it has failed to impress and has been constantly beaten when it comes to sales by the Nintendo 3DS.
