Revealed by the FCC

The FCC guys give you yet another treat for today: the Pantech C510. This is not such a remarkable cellphone from the looks of it but, it you take a closer look, you will notice the AT&T brand right on the left up side of the handset.

That is probably the first time I had the chance to see that on a device set to be launched on the mobile market. And I'm not kidding you about this because as soon as a phone is approved by the FCC, it packages its things and gets ready to hit the retail store shelves.

The C510 cellphone has a brushed metal case and external dedicated music controls, a fact hinting us about its music orientation. That also means the storage space will not be a problem and some kind of memory expansion card slot will surely be found on the handset once it hits the market.

It also features EDGE data transfer technology, wireless Bluetooth (hopefully with A2DP stereo profile), a digital camera, a multimedia player capable of playing the latest types of audio and video files.

Other specs aren't known yet but one thing is sure about this handset: it will definitely be launched on the new AT&T/Cingular wireless network so if you are one of their customers and if you like minimal looking handsets, you will probably be happy to hear about this.

If you are not either one, at least you had the chance to lay your eyes on yet another ugly and useless cellphone. And I bet you will tell your friends as fast as you can about it and advise them not to buy it in a million years.
