Two Samsung smartphones are about to make their debut at AT&T later this week, the Samsung Captivate Glide and Samsung DoubleTime.

Given the fact that both smartphones were announced more than a month ago, it appears that the carrier is a bit behind with the release of the handsets. The same goes for the third smartphone that is expected to hit shelves this Sunday, the Pantech Pocket.

AT&T confirmed the availability of the Android smartphone via its Twitter account: “More Android choices avail. 11/20: the @Pantech Pocket, @SamsungMobileUSA Doubletime & Captivate Glide.”

There's no word on the other Android-based handset announced last month, the AT&T Avail, but there's a high chance that this one will go live on November 20 as well.

It looks like the upcoming Android smartphone are aimed at different targets and cover most customers' needs.

While Samsung Captivate Glide and Pantech Pocket are powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, the Samsung Doubletime runs Android 2.2 Froyo platform and hopefully it will be priced accordingly.

Even if Samsung decides to roll out the Gingerbread upgrade for the DoubleTime in the near future, the smartphone is delivered with an old operating system at launch, which is exactly what matters most.

On the outside, the Samsung DoubleTime features a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display, while on the inside the smartphone has a secondary touchscreen that supports 320 x 480 pixels resolution.

The phone is equipped with a 600 MHz processor, 260 MB of internal memory, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB) and full QWERTY keyboard.

Pantech Pocket features an unusual bar form factor and comes with a large 4.0-inch capacitive touchscreen with 600 x 800 pixels resolution.

It comes with 600 MB storage, microSD card slot (up to 32GB, 2 GB memory card included) and 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash.

Samsung Captivate Glide seems to be the better device, as the smartphone is equipped with a 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor and packs 8 GB storage, 1 GB of RAM, 1 GB of ROM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

In addition, the Android-powered phone boasts an enhanced 8-megapixel camera, a secondary 1.3-megapixel front facing camera and full slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
