Computer maker ASUS is getting closer to the official release of its latest ZenFone smartphones, all of which were officially unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January.

According to the latest news on the matter, these handsets, three to be more precise, will become available for purchase in China on April 11.

We’re referring here to the ASUS ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5, and ZenFone 6, all of them revealed with Intel processors packed inside.

Although no official confirmation on the matter has arrived as of now, all three devices are expected to land on shelves in other markets as well soon after.

All these smartphones were made official with Google’s Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top but, as PhoneArena notes, they should be upgraded to the Android 4.4 KitKat OS version before the end of this year.

The ASUS ZenFone 4 handset is the smallest of the trio, and it should also be the cheapest in the series (at around $100/€73). It is set to hit the market with a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen display on the front.

Moreover, the smartphone will pack a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor inside when released, along with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory. Its specs list also includes a 5MP camera and a 1200mAh battery.

ZenFone 5, on the other hand, comes to the market with a 5-inch screen capable of delivering a 720p resolution, while being powered by a 2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2580 processor.

The handset also features 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, along with an 8-megapixel camera on the back. Powered by a 2110 mAh battery, ZenFone 5 will feature a price tag of $150 (€109).

As its name suggests, the ASUS ZenFone 6 is the largest in the series and also the most feature-packed, starting with its 6-inch touchscreen that can deliver a 720 x 1280 pixels resolution.

The phone is powered by a 2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2580 processor paired with 1GB of RAM and also features 8GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

On the back, the new device packs a 13-megapixel camera, most probably with full HD video recording capabilities, complemented by a 2MP camera on the front for making video calls while on the go.

In addition to the usual set of connectivity capabilities and sensors, the new mobile phone has a large 3300 mAh battery inside. It is expected to land on the market with a price tag of $200 (€146) attached to it.
