Recently, it has become somewhat of a common practice for rumors and reports about a new ASUS product that comes to complete the Eee PC family to surface almost on a weekly basis. No matter if we are talking about a new Eee PC model or just about different sorts of accessories, ASUS sure seems to be very enthusiastic about this brand.

This time around, the Taiwanese manufacturer is rumored to be preparing the release of three different Eee PC accessories, which should ultimately improve the quality of this device. The rumors and a couple of leaked images have surfaced on the German website EeePCNews. According to the source, the new products are supposed to be part of the Eee family. Unfortunately, at this point in time, the technical details about the newcomers are rather scarce, the only thing we're able to be more certain about being what they're meant for.

Apparently, we are talking about an external hard drive, an optical drive and an external 3G connection card, all of which will be connected to the Eee PC through a free USB port. The external drive will supposedly be dubbed Eee Drive, with rumors also indicating that it will sport approximately 16GB of storage space, which isn't all that much if you consider that the Eee PC 1000HD, of which we told you about two days ago, provides 80GB of storage space.

The external optical drive, or Eee Writer, will come very handy to Eee PC users who don't get to benefit from a internal optical drive for their systems. Other than that, there's not much to say about this device either, as ASUS is yet to officially introduce it to the public.

The 3G connection card will probably be the best accessory for Eee PC users who are always on the go. Dubbed T500, this device will provide a useful alternative for connecting to the Internet.

As mentioned above, details about the new products are still a bit hazy so we can't really say whether they will be made available in America or what their retail price will be.
