14 DAY TRIAL // On Wednesday, ASUS appears set to unveil to the world all the necessary info on the upcoming availability of its ASUS Fonepad on the market in India, and it has already started to send out invitations to the launch event set for that day.
Although specific details on the device’s availability and pricing haven’t been made official as of now, AndroidOS notes that it might be launched at around INR 15,000 ($277 / €212), the same as announced for the international version.
For those out of the loop, we should note that the Fonepad was unveiled with a 7.0-inch HD IPS display, a 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2420 CPU, 1GB of RAM, and a PowerVR GC540 GPU.
Furthermore, the device arrives on shelves with 8GB / 16GB of internal memory, microSD card slot, a 3MP camera on the back, front camera for video calling, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
