At this year's Computex, we have seen a considerable number of new products, released by important manufactures such as ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI or Acer. Attendants at the trade show have had the chance to be among the first ones to view and maybe even test these new releases. And, as revealed at ASUS' booth at Computex, the Taiwanese manufacturer is trying to use its Vento brand to commercialize more than just computer chassis. Apparently, ASUS is also planning to release a high-power
PSU.

Codenamed G-1000HA, this power supply unit has been designed to bring overclocking enthusiasts and technology aficionados the required power for running the latest high-performance desktop rigs. Although not yet official, the G-1000HA is expected to provide its users with no less than 1000W of continuous power. The quite large PSU is said to feature 80 Plus certification and to be compatible with every ATX 12V v2.3 desktop chassis. Apparently, the PSU is going to come with five 12V rails and provide support for both SLI and CrossFire multi-GPU setups.

This high-performance rated power supply unit also features a large 135mm fan, which is meant to silently cool the unit, thus providing the required stability. The fan benefits from a ball-bearing technology and is said to use an "auto thermal acoustic noise control," designed to keep the noise level down to a minimum.

Although not new to the PSU market, up until now, the Taiwanese manufacturer hasn't been able to come up with a PSU solution that can be classified as offering high-performance. This unit should be officially launched very soon but, until that happens, we can only speculate on the product's price tag or availability date.

Until this moment, ASUS' Vento brand has been used primarily for two of the company's best computer chassis. The Vento chassis came with quite a unique design and offered a more than decent platform for high-performance desktop rigs.
