Might be Eee PC enabled

It appears that ASUS plans to make its Eee PC offer even sweeter by enabling Eee PC for some fun gaming. Apparently, the Taiwanese company has unveiled a couple of Wii-like wireless gaming controllers at a recent tech fair in the city that will host this year's Computex show, Taipei.

Although the two orange and black controllers weren't used with ASUS' ultra portable computer, attendees were reportedly told that the controllers were Eee PC capable. They look pretty much the same as Nintendo's Wii Nunchuck controllers, but unlike the Wii version, ASUS' products don't feature a wire that connects the two.

One of the two controllers features a small joystick and two front buttons, just like Nintendo's Wii Nunchuck. But ASUS' also features two additional buttons. The other Nunchunk-like controller provides the user with PlayStation-like controls as well as the same two additional buttons and on/off switch as on the other controller.

The availability and price of these ASUS gaming products is yet to be discovered, but rumors are that they could cost around $70. With the Computex show about to open its doors, we might even see these two controllers in an Eee PC demonstration. To expand on that idea, ASUS has already announced a number of products, which it will showcase at the Taipei computer show.

Because the products haven't been officially launched, we can only presume that they are going to be released as accessories for the company's Eee PC portable computer. But if so, the Eee PC is going to become more than just a handy tool for educational purposes. It will also be a leisure product that the user can easily carry around and play interactive Wii-like games on.
