ASUS, naturally, did not let CES 2011 pass it by without providing a suitably encompassing collection of personal computers, one of the systems being a desktop PC based on the second strongest Sandy Bridge CPU currently available.

Like all other PC suppliers, ASUS took advantage of the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show to the best of its ability, especially when it came to making use of Intel's and AMD's new processors.

Thus, it exhibited not just new motherboards and video cards, but also a number of computers, both mobile and otherwise.

One of says systems is a certain desktop known as CG8350 and aimed at the high-end market, or at least the higher half of the mainstream,

Even just the sleek, black chassis is enough to convey a feeling of power, suitable to the hardware held on the inside.

The center piece is none other than the Intel Core i7-2600, the second greatest Sandy Bridge desktop chip released (2600K is more overclockable).

The official announcement makes a mention of an ASUS GTX 460 NVIDIA-based DirectX 11 graphics card.

Additionally, the motherboard used in the machine uses 100% solid state capacitors, for increased longevity, reliability and overall stability.

Furthermore, an Energy Processing Unit regulates the energy consumption of the whole system.

Other specifications currently known include USB 3.0, a built-in multi-card reader and no doubt very high memory and storage, though said details are still under wraps.

'These specs translate into relentless high-definition PC gaming at an incredible price point,” says the press release.

Unfortunately, exactly what that price point is a piece of information that has yet to be made public.

“The new ASUS CG8350 encompasses everything that makes a powerful desktop PC the ideal gaming platform – incredible performance, sophisticated hardware, ample expandability and a high degree of user accessibility,” the press further states.
