Coming to prepare its prospective buyers for an upcoming product release is ASUS, whose collection will finally welcome an already unveiled laptop sometime next month.

ASUS, like every other IT company out there, always has a number of products in store, scheduled to make their appearance at some point down the line.

Some of them manage to stay hidden until the very moment of launch, though the sharp eyes and ears of market watchers ensure these are few and far between.

Most often, if the company itself doesn't preview the product, leaks and reports will make sure some or all information on it reaches users before the actual arrival.

In this particular case, ASUS is readying one item that was unveiled back in April, namely an ultrathin notebook.

The U36S has a screen diagonal of 13.3 inches and relies on an Intel Core i7 central processing unit, the 2.7 GHz i7-2620M to be more precise.

4 GB of RAM (random access memory) supply the chip with all resources it needs to smoothly operate, while a GeForce GT 510M card (1 GB) supplements the integrated graphics.

In order to make sure these resources can exhibit their might, the ASUS U36S was also given an LED-backlit panel with a native resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels (HD).

Furthermore, stereo speakers cover the sound aspect, so that multimedia playback my enchant both users eyes and ears, not just the former.

Other specifications include USB 3.0 (one port), USB 2.0, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, a 0.3 megapixel webcam, a SSD (160 GB) and an 8-cell battery.

Everything is crammed inside a package with a thickness of 19mm and a cover made by magnesium-aluminum alloy.

September is when sales will start, in exchange for 1,299 Euro. The Windows 7 Professional (64bit) operating system will cover the software side of the equation.
