We said the tablet was getting a new firmware and, sure enough, here it is

Remember that “awesome” update that ASUS promised for the Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablet? The one that totally failed to stay secret? Well here it is.

Apparently, some users in the United States have managed to get the firmware update, and even our slates here in Europe got it.

All it takes is for users to navigate to the “About” portion of the settings menu and check to see if it is available.

Of course, ASUS has only today begun to roll out the firmware, so don't panic if your device hasn't received it yet.

The firmware (version 9.4.2.21) brings Face Unlock, new names for the Android Market, similar treatment to certain content services and various other things.

We aren't going to list them all again here, since we did that, and quite thoroughly, yesterday. When we said the details had failed to stay a secret, we meant it.
