ASUS just launched a new firmware for its Transformer Prime TF201 tablet. The new 10.4.2.17 firmware fixes some bugs and adds a couple of new features.

To begin with, the people at ASUS fixed the issue when, if you inserted an SD card into the Mobile Dock and enter sleep mode, the system would auto reboot on resume.

Another major fix is the “backspace” problem. Now, the backspace key on Mobile Dock will function properly instead of deleting random words in the input field of the browser.

The new firmware manages to make the ASUS handwriting IME work even when the pad is on Mobile Dock.

If you downloaded some .pdf files and couldn’t open them, you should install this update. ASUS got rid of this problem, and now you can freely download .pdfs of 3rd party apps and even get to open them.

With this firmware update, ASUS adds Ukrainian IME and restores the Google Bookmark Sync to the default browser.

Below are the download links for the firmware, so just click and enjoy.
