ASUS could have held back until it had more fixes, tweaks and/or changes to make, but it decided not to delay the latest update to the Transformer Prime tablet.

The operating system of the tablet is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and the firmware version now rolling out to owners is 9.4.2.28.

It mostly fixes bugs and changes minor things related to the basic operation of the tablet, with one noteworthy exception: Face Unlock.

That's right, from now on, when you gaze long at the slate, the tablet will gaze at you too. If what it “sees” with the camera fits previous shots of your face, it will unblock the OS and log you in without any other input.

Android 4.0 possesses Face Unlock by default, but it hasn’t been enabled on Transformer Prime up to now.
