There is a chance that the tablet hybrid will make it on the market until then

Intel talked about its next-gen Broadwell Core M platform a while ago at Computex 2014, but there was some confusion regarding when we would actually see the first products taking advantage of the new CPUs arrive in retail.

At some point, it was said that we should expect to see devices bundling this architecture being made widely available in 2015.

But today, Intel released new details about the platform along with the info regarding the first products bundling the Broadwell Core M chips.

The 14-nanometer processes are especially designed for lower power devices such as laptop/tablet hybrids with fanless cooling systems. The chips should bring about slimmer, lighter tablets, and according to the company, the first models should be arriving as early as the holiday season.

Therefore, if we are hopeful, we could say that Broadwell Core M devices could pop up in retail locations as soon as November, so start saving up if you have your heart set out on one.

We’re saying this because Broadwell chips are premium ones, so don’t expect them to end up powering the budget ecosystem, a space that will continue to be dominated by ARM and Intel Atom offerings.

Back at Computex 2014 when Intel talked about the Broadwell Core M platform, ASUS was the first brand vendor to announce a commercial product in the form of the Transformer Book T300 Chi.

The ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi is a Windows-based machine with a 7.3mm / 0.28 inches super thin frame that puts even the iPad Air to shame.

So hopefully, we’re going to see this device arrive on shelves until this Christmas. ASUS has already set up an official page for the device on its webpage, which is a good indication that it shouldn't be long until the super sleek 2-in-1 starts shipping out.

The Transformer Book T300 Chi will arrive with a 12.5-inch IPS screen (most Broadwell Core M tablets will maintain this factor) which will boasts a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.

The hybrid will take advantage of 4G LTE and users will be able to opt between 2GB or 4GB of RAM onboard. The ASUS page doesn't give us any insight on the amount of internal storage but we hope it’s going to be of a 32GB/64GB variety.

Until now, the company hasn't announced for how much it is going to be selling the tablet hybrid, but as we told you above, don’t expect it to arrive with a bargain price.
