Was spotted online, listed by a retailer from the United Kingdom

There is a certain ARM platform that will make its appearance in slates soon, slates like a certain ASUS tablet which has been reluctant to show itself, though not completely shielded from the gaze of market watchers.

Tablets aren't exactly something new anymore, but it is also more or less obvious that Android-loaded ones haven't exactly matched Apple's iPad in sales, not by a long shot.

Still, the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer did impress, selling well even before it got the Android 3.2 update.

ASUS is now on the last mile towards launching the successor to this item, the Transformer 2, which will have a better platform.

Said platform is the NVIDIA Tegra 3 SoC (system-on-chip), otherwise known as Kal-El (a tribute to the Man of Steel).

Essentially, it is a quad-core ARM processor, coupled with everything a tablet needs for multimedia support even better than what the popular Tegra 2 can brag about.

For months now, it has been known that the ASUS Transformer 2 would make its appearance before the end of the ongoing year.

Now, an actual date is said to have surfaced, that being November 7, which does seem to fit with everything else said so far.

The new listing also confirms the storage capacity of 32 GB, the 1 GB of RAM (random access memory) and the use of the Android Honeycomb operating system (Ice Cream Sandwich will allow people to wait on it, apparently).

The price of the TF201-1I020A, as it is dubbed, is £448.21, which exchange rates say is the same as $698.40 and 512.28 Euro, quite steep, all things considered.

Then again, US and EU pricing don't seem to reflect this much, and it is almost certain that they will be $499.99 and somewhere around 479.99 Euro.

All that remains is for people to wait and see what happens next with this 10.1-inch electronic.
