ASUS will be one of the four companies to launch Windows RT on ARM tablets when Microsoft releases the Surface, which means that the TF500T might be such a device.
The TF500T has just cropped up on the Federal Communications Commission website.
We aren't totally sure this is a Windows RT tablet, or even a Windows 8 tablet based on an x86 CPU, but considering the fact that this is the very first time anyone hears about it we'd say there is a good chance for it.
The only hardware details included in the filing are the HDMI, microphone and Wi-Fi, demanded by the fact that the FCC tests connectivity and I/O.
Other than that, there is a schematic of the rear side of the TF500T, showing the rectangular shape with nearly sharp corners, plus the label positions.
If this is a Windows RT tablet or one with Windows 8, it will launch in October at the earliest. If it is an Android device, it may arrive sooner.
