The newly released update packages are each compatible with a Specific Stock Keeping Unit

Today, ASUS has rolled out a new firmware build developed for its MeMO Pad FHD 10 tablets, namely version 5.0.21, which consists of several downloadable packages, each compatible with a specific Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) only.

Since the producer doesn’t provide any changelog whatsoever, I can only assume that this new release improves the overall system stability and performance. Still, in order to find out what the changes really are, you should apply this software update yourself.

To do so, first you must check the currently installed firmware version to ensure that it isn’t either newer or matching this release, and also to check out what SKU your Android device supports. For that go to Settings > About Tablet > Build Number.

Just to be clear, if the build number displays “US_epad-5.X.X.X_2012xxxx,” then the current software and SKU version powering the MeMO Pad is “5.X.X.X” and “US,” respectively.

Now that you know all you need for a successful upgrade, save and unpack the downloadable package specifically developed for the tablet SKU, copy the newly extracted .zip file onto an SD card, and insert it into the tablet (or simply transfer the .zip onto the MeMO Pad’s internal storage).

If all done wright, the ASUS unit should recognize the update and automatically prompt you with the installation steps – just follow them as shown for a complete and successful upgrade.

That being said, download Firmware 5.0.21 for ASUS MeMO Pad FHD 10 Tablet, take into account all the aforementioned aspects, apply the new software version, and find out what this new release brings about.
