ASUS, one of the world's leading vendors of hardware components, computer systems and various networking solutions, has recently updated its product portfolio with the introduction of the new RT-N13U all-in-one router that also provides end-users with printer server functionalities. Designed to be easily installed by any home user, the new wireless router from ASUS has been featured with the company's EZ user interface, enabling an easy setup and management of the device's features and functionalities.
The RT-N13U specifications sheet includes one WAN port with four RJ-45 ports for wired 10/100 Ethernet LAN connectivity. The router has been equipped with two PCB antennas, with support for wireless 802.11n Draft technology, featuring speeds of up to 300Mbps. Like many of today's routers, the new wireless device from ASUS has been designed to support industry security standards like 64/128-bit WEP, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, WPA-enterprise and WPA2-enterprise.
In addition, the new RT-N13U all-in-one router has been featured with the EZ QoS (Easy Quality of Service) and can allow multiple network activities like FTP, games, P2P or more to work smoothly at the same time. It also offers support for a number of connection types, including automatic IP, static IP, PPPoE, PPTP and L2TP. On the security side, it is equipped with NAT and SPI-enabled firewall and can do port, IP packet, URL keyword and MAC address filtering.
Featuring ASUS' own EZ All-in-One Printer functionality, the RT-N13U router can allow multiple users to share printers and scanners without server managing the process. This feature makes it a reliable alternative for small businesses, which require multiple printers on the same network.
Unfortunately, we have no details regarding the pricing and availability of the new ASUS RT-N13U, but we are expecting it to hit the retail channel very soon.
