The situation isn't bound to improve this month (August 2012)

ASUS made $1.01 billion in July 2012, 823.68 million Euro according to exchange rates, which might seem like a lot but is really a lot less than what the company has managed a month before.

Granted, the sum is 5.18% higher compared to the same period of the previous year.

Nevertheless, the revenues were 16.14% lower than the ones scored in June.

The ASUS CFO (chief financial officer) David Chang believes that Windows 8 is to blame for this, or rather the fact that it has not yet become available anywhere.

Since it will launch in October, many customers are putting off their PC and tablet acquisition plans until then.

This is also the cause behind the belief that, though revenues will stay sluggish in August and September, mid-October will change things somewhat.
