ASUS has outed a new firmware targeted at its Fonepad Note 6 mobile tablet, namely version 10.16.1.28.10, which is compatible with the WW and TW SKUs (Stock-Keeping Unit) only.

The package brings system and modem stability improvements, fixes power saving mode that switched unexpectedly, and resolves an issue with Lynx 2013 login-logout that turned ongoing calls to speaker mode without reason.

In addition to that, this newly released update also applies new firmware versions for the tablet’s Miracast dongle, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS features.

As for installing ASUS’s latest release, first check the currently installed firmware so that it doesn’t match with the latest one by going to Settings → About Tablet → Build Number. If the versions are the same, then your tablet is up to date and no further action is needed.

Otherwise, from the build number, you can also see whether the SKU is WW or TW, in order to know what package is compatible with the FonePad Note 6. To be clearer, if the build number is “WW_fonepad-10.X.X.X._2013xxxx,” or similar, then the SKU will be “WW.”

That being said, if you consider updating your mobile tablet, then download FonePad Note 6 Firmware 10.16.1.28.10 for the proper SKU, apply it to the device, and enjoy the new changes.
