The company is recycling the name, but not the hardware

NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 780 Ti is already overpowered, to the point where it holds its own against dual-GPU AMD/NVIDIA boards despite having a single chip itself, but ASUS decided to improve it anyway.

We can't be sure of its official capabilities, since it's a surprise that even the few teaser photos below made their way to the Internet.

Since Dreamhack Winter is currently taking place in Elmia, Jonkoping, Sweden, the specifications may turn up as well.

Until they do, though, we can only look at the pictures and try to gleam what the specifications will be.

So far, we're pretty sure this isn't a 6 GB card like the one EVGA is preparing (EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti Kingpin Edition).

We could be wrong of course, but that shot of the printed circuit board, bared of the cooler, seems to suggest this much, given the memory chips.

Speaking of the cooler, it has six heat pipes and two fans, but the most important thing is that it's a hybrid cooler.

That means that you can actually hook the thing up to a water cooler if you have one, but it's not necessary.

It definitely makes the upper edge of the video card look really strange, but we're not about to complain, knowing the benefits of liquid cooling.

We're not sure if the thing works with low-power pumps, but given the propensity of water block makers to use very high flow designs, we're betting yes.

That said, the video card also has black metallic capacitors for the DIGI+ VRM, ensuring a fivefold increase in durability and 30% less power noise.

All in all, the board will be a good successor, of sorts, to the ASUS ROG 760 Poseidon released a few months ago. ASUS itself provided the teaser render, but the photos come from VideoCardz. Hopefully, it won't take long for the spec sheet to be published.
