ASUS has definitely been releasing products bearing the ROG (Republic of Gamers) logo lately, and it seems that the company is not done yet, as made clear by how a certain one of its laptops has become available.

The ROG logo is one that ASUS gives to a select few of its many products, namely those that combine high-end hardware with intricate designs.

Even motherboards bearing this brand, like the ROG Maximum IV Extreme, stand out visually thanks to their rad/black color scheme and size, among other things.

Now, a certain notebook known as ROG G73SW has started selling through online retailers.

It is a 17.3-inch 16:9 model with a LED-backlit LCD display whose native resolution is of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (Full HD).

At the heart of the machine lies an Intel Sandy Bridge CPU, namely the Core i7-2630QM quad-core model, whose base clock frequency is of 2.0 GHz.

Said CPU is complemented by a suitably large RAM capacity of up to 8 GB, while the brunt of all heavy video workloads (games etc.) is taken by the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M.

The GTX 460M with 1.5 GB of VRAM will take over when the integrated graphics in the CPU cannot cope with graphically-intensive tasks.

A mention is also made of the 1 TB of storage space, achieved by means of two 500 GB HDDs, while a Blu-ray combo drive of 4x handles optically-stored media and scribing.

Other specifications include an 8-in-1 card reader, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, an HDMI output and USB 3.0, among other things.

All the hardware is packed inside a case with a design inspired from a stealth fighter and runs on the power delivered by an 8-cell mAh battery.

Finally, the ASUS ROG G73SW-TZ083V runs Windows 7 Professional 64bit and has a price of $1,849.
