With NVIDIA silently working on the development of its next-generation graphics processors, which are presumably codenamed GT300, its partners continue to make the best with what they have, namely the chip maker's line of GT200 graphics processing units. Taiwanese hardware maker ASUS is currently readying the introduction of a new NVIDIA-based GeForce card, which will take advantage of the performance specifications of NVIDIA's mainstream GTX 260, one of the first cards to make use of the new GT200
architecture.

Expected to ship under the ENGTX260 GL+/HTDI/896MD3 title, the new card will boast NVIDIA's GT200 GPU, coupled with a dual-slot Glaciator+ fansink cooling solution. This design feature is meant to provide users with a high level of performance, while the custom cooling solution will dissipate the heat over the GT200 GPU. Additional features include a black PCB, a 448-bit memory interface, 216 processing cores and support for 3-way SLI technology, enabling users to boost their desktop PC's performance by adding one or two graphics cards.

As far as technical specifications go, the card has been featured with a clock speed of 576MHz, which is basically the stock frequency for said GPU. The 896MB of GDDR3 memory and the Shaders have been set to work at 1998MHz and 1242MHz, enabling users to overclock the card's settings themselves, taking full advantage of its performance and custom cooling solution. In addition, the card has been featured with two 6-pin power connectors and two DVI outputs.

The new ENGTX260 GL+/HTDI/896MD3 is yet to make its debut on the company's website, but reports indicate that it is already listed on pre-order for a price tag of US$213 or about 149 Euros. For that, you'll get an NVIDIA card that is ready to perform in all of the latest gaming applications on the market.
