ASUS is probably the last of the brand vendors to take up the production of Chromebooks. The company announced it would be launching at least two new models in 2014 and now the time has come to provide you with a few details about it.

Thanks to information leaked by Chinese publication Vr-Zone, we now know ASUS is busy designing two Chromebooks models, the C200 and C300, which will come with 11.6-inch and 13-inch screens respectively (Toshiba won’t be the only company with a 13-inch Chomebook).

The Taiwanese company might adopt the cheap but hefty chassis of the current VivoBook F200 and add Chrome OS on top, to prevent pricing for the laptops going up.

We don’t know for sure what specifications we’ll find on the inside, but judging by Toshiba, Dell or Acer offer at the moment, ASUS could equip its new Chromebooks with Intel Celeron 2955U chips (Haswell) combined with 2GB of RAM and maybe backed up by 320GB HHD. I'll update you once more information about them becomes available.
