ASUS is reportedly gearing up for the launch of its Padfone smartphone and tablet combo on February 27th at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, some of the latest reports on the matter suggest.

The company has already showcased the device a few times before, and even had it on stage at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this month.

However, it appears that the combo will make it to MWC as well, and that ASUS will start delivering it to supply channels.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the combo includes a 10.1-inch tablet and 4.3-inch smartphone form factor. Moreover, it appears that an nVidia Tegra 3 quad-core chip was also included into the mix. As expected, Google’s Android operating system and none other is powering the device.
