The handset will become available for purchase in early April

This week, computer maker ASUS has started to take pre-orders for the Padfone Infinity smartphone-tablet hybrid in Taiwan, its homeland market, and also unveiled specific info on the pricing of the device.

Users interested in the Jelly Bean-based device will be able to grab the Padfone Infinity 32GB smartphone for 20,990 TWD ($702 / 547 Euro), while having to pay 22,990 TWD ($769 / 599 Euro) for the 64GB version.

Those who would like to grab the accompanying 10.1-inch full HD tablet PC as well will have to add 5,000 TWD ($167 / 130 Euro) to these costs.

Additionally, ASUS confirmed that the device would become available for purchase in the country sometime in early April, a recent post on UnwiredView claims.

Made official at MWC 2013, Padfone Infinity packs a 5-inch full HD screen, a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, 13MP camera on the back, 2MP front camera, and a 2400 mAh battery (plus a 5000 mAh one in the tablet).
