The cheap appeal of Windows 8.1 with Bing is spreading like wildfire among top tech players hoping to save manufacturing costs and eventually roll out cheap, affordable products, which is what customers basically want these days.

In the past few days, we've been telling you about obscure Chinese tablets based on the operating system mentioned above, but it looks like important names in the industry are also looking to take advantage of the platform.

It’s the case of ASUS, which already has the Transformer Book T100 and upcoming T200 that run on Windows 8.1, but judging by the most recent findings, the company will push out two new variations of the Transformer Book T100, which come equipped with Windows 8.1 with Bing.

The first one goes by the name Transformer Book T100TAM and will be taking advantage of the Intel Atom Z3775 chip platform, just like the original Book T100 and the upcoming T200 device that will probably start shipping out into the world soon enough.

The T100TAM has been spotted making a stop at the FCC, so we can argue that the hybrid will soon be upon us. It’s important to note, since the new version takes advantage of Windows 8.1 with Bing we’re probably going to see ASUS market it for less money than usual.

Moving along, the guys over at TabTech seem to have stumbled upon another version, the Transformer Book T100TAF.

This product is a little different than the T100TAM we talked about above, because it takes advantage of an Intel Atom Z3735G processor that can also be found in the recently uncovered T100 model, which will boast LTE connectivity.

The processor inside is less performant than the Intel Atom Z3775 and offers speeds of 1.3GHz, which can be increased to 1.83GHz in Turbo Boost. The T100TAF also has 1GB of RAM, as opposed to 2GB found in the other models.

Apart from that, everything remains the same, so we have a 10.1-inch screen with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and 32GB of internal memory. Other strong points include the HDMI out, webcam, and USB 3.0.

This model will take advantage of Wi-Fi and will offer the services of Windows 8.1 with Bing and will apparently be marketed for around €290 / $388 in Europe, but the tab will most likely be sold for less in the US.

So, if you haven’t picked up an ASUS Transformer Book yet, you might want to wait until this cheaper devices make an appearance in retail.
