ASUS Memo Pad Goes Official in India at INR 9,999 ($185 / €142)

Today, ASUS officially announced the launch of its Memo Pad tablet PC in India, confirming that it will become available for purchase in the coming days with a price tag of INR 9,999 ($185 / €142) attached to it.

The device lands on the market with a 7-inch display capable of delivering a 1024 x 600 pixels resolution, as well as with a 1GHz VIA WM8950 CPU with Mali-400 GPU packed inside, AndroidOS notes.

Furthermore, it sports 8GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, and a 4270 mAh battery. ASUS Memo Pad measures 96.2 x 119.2 x 11.2mm and weighs 358 grams.

The specs list of the slate also includes support for Wi-Fi networks, a 1MP camera on the front for making video calls while on the go, and Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform loaded on top.
