Firmware update procedure isn’t capable of switching between stock-keeping unit versions

ASUS has made available a new firmware developed for its MeMo Pad FHD 10 mobile tablet, namely version 4.5.7, which consists of separate download records, each compatible with a specific SKU (stock-keeping unit).

Because no official change log is provided along with the release, I can only assume that the newer version may increase the device’s performance, as well as improve its stability.

However, if you consider applying this version and find out the changes that have been made, you should know that the update procedure isn’t capable of switching between SKU versions or install an earlier firmware package.

So, before starting, go to Settings → About Tablet → Build Number, and from there, read your currently installed stock-keeping unit that consists of the letters before the first underscore line. This helps you know what package to download.

Bear in mind that if a wrong SKU is used in the upgrade process, this could lead to an update failure that may render the device unstable. So make sure you get the correct package.

That being said, follow the link below, and from the list of available SKUs, click on the one that best describes yours and which you have just read from the build number.
