A few days ago I was telling you the Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet won’t be making it to the Philippines, as the producing company is concerned about not being able to penetrate the budget-focused market.

Well the good news it ASUS is not shying away from launching a bunch of new slates in the country. The device maker has just launched the MeMO Pad 8 and MeMO Pad 10 Android slates, aiming the mid-range market (via Noypigeeks).

The two slates (8-inch and 10-inch) feature IPS displays with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and both run on quad-core processors (clocked at 1.6GHz and based on Cortex-A9) with Mali 400 MP4 GPU and 1GB of RAM.

The smaller model has a battery capable of providing 9 hours of life and boasts two cameras (5MP on the back and 1.2MP in front). By comparison its larger brother has a 2MP camera on the back capable of 720p video recording and 1.2MP in front and can last up to 10 hours.

The MeMO Pad 8 will be priced starting at Php 9,995 / $220 / €161 while the MeMO Pad 10 will go on sale for Php 13,995 / $309 / €226.
