It appears that the Computex 2011 trade show has started off in force, with ASUS delivering what can only be described as vary large collection of products, especially Gaming solutions, like the ROG G74Sx 3D gaming notebook.

ASUS has been a large presence on the IT market for years, so, naturally, it has quite the gaming-oriented portfolio.

The ROG (Republic of Gamers) logo is the branding scheme reserved for those products that the outfit feels are top notch in terms of performance and even design.

That said, there is quite a collection of ROG solutions on display at Computex right now, one of them a 3D notebook dubbed ROG G74Sx.

As one would expect, the second generation of Intel central processing units power the product (Core i5 or Core i7 models).

Meanwhile, graphics prowess is provided by the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M discrete GPU, which was just recently released itself.

Additionally, the display, obviously of the Full HD variety (resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels) has a diagonal of 17 inches and, as already obvious, support for 3D.

Speaking of 3D, the Santa Clara, California-based company's proprietary 3D Vision technology is, naturally, fully supported.

The hardware has not been fully detailed, since the complete spec sheet will only be provided in June.

What ASUS did reveal is that the design of the case, with angular lines, was inspired from stealth fighters.

Other design elements include two rear exhausts for hot air, two fans and a metallic base that does not flex, plus a “gamer-friendly keyboard.”

“The ROG philosophy is based on the core ideals of class-leading performance, innovative user controls and gamer-focused design,” said ASUS Vice President and GM of Worldwide Sales, Jackie Hsu.

It shouldn't take too long for availability to ramp up, although the newcomer will in no way be cheap.
