ASUS has made available a fresh firmware package developed for its ME176C MeMO Pad 7 tablet, namely version 3.2.23.182, which supports the 1.1 Zen UI that adds new applications such as PC Link, Remote Link, Share Link, and Dual APP.

Besides the 1.1 Zen UI, the new firmware also supports DRM L1, ASUS’ Home Cloud, APP to SD, Data transfer, as well as VIP Group Dialer. Moreover, the present release corrects issues for IEEE 802.11n with 65 Mbps encountered on JP SKUs (Stock Keeping Unit).

In addition to that, ASUS’ update adds memory optimizations, introduces the Bbbler Actors feature to the Omlet Chat, and allows using the Micro Film function in Gallery.

When it comes to fixes, version 3.2.23.182 resolves the icon size problems, the issue with Miracast that wouldn’t play encrypted videos after establishing connection, as well as a specific error regarding language selection without Burmese.

With this in mind, if you intend to make use of these changes, first go to Settings > About Tablet > Build Number, and check the currently installed firmware version. Also, get a glimpse of the tablet’s SKU as this is a very important aspect in downloading the correct firmware package.

However, just to be clear, if the build number is “WW_fonepad-10.X.X.X._2013xxxx,” then the current firmware build is “10.X.X.X,” while the SKU is “WW.” Bear in mind that the update process is only capable to apply the same SKU as the one already installed.

That being said, download ASUS ME176C MeMO Pad 7 Firmware 3.2.23.182 for the appropriate SKU, apply the update, and enjoy your newly improved tablet.
