Although there's no official word yet on the desktop version of the Eee PC, ASUS has decided to release one product that is meant to be the world's smallest mini PC with full HD
support. Dubbed ASUS Mini PC Nova Lite PX24, the small sized system comes to offer users an alternative to a powerful home entertainment center.

Apparently, ASUS is keen on delivering small-sized computer systems to both portable and desktop computer users. The PC Nova Lite PX24 is only 2L in size and is capable of supporting high-definition images of 1080i/1080p output. The system sports a built-in HDMI/DVI interface designed to meet user requirements for high-quality images, while the built-in discrete graphics card, namely ATI 620LE, allows smooth gameplay. ASUS claims that the system is even capable of rivaling high-end gaming machines.

The small size factor of the PX24 apparently doesn't make things too "crowded" on the inside, and ASUS was able to equip the system with a quiet cooling solution. It is based on the company's Tranquiller Technology that integrates an optimized system air flow design, high-quality solid capacitors, the quietest levitation fans and a unique heat dissipation module, which ultimately provides the users with an ultra quiet 26db product.

The system is built on an Intel 945GC chipset designed to support an Intel Celeron 220 CPU, and will be delivered with either 160G or 250G storage capacities. The PC Nova Lite PX24 comes with no less than 2 GB of DDR2 memory and will be capable of running a Windows Vista Home Premium operating system. As far as connectivity goes, this ASUS product has been featured with wireless 802.11b/g support, as well as one Gigabit LAN port and four USB 2.0 ports.

For the time being, ASUS hasn't put out any official release date, or price tag for that matter, but one thing that is almost certain is that the product will be available in two colors.
