Present at Computex today, ASUS introduced the sleek and slim Zenbook NX500 Ultrabook. But that’s not all the computer manufacturer had to show the world.

As was rumored for some time now, ASUS is extending its popular Windows-based Transformer Book family with three models that offer a wide-range of choice in terms of configurations.

Transformer Book Flip

Introducing the Transformer Book Flip – a convertible device that can be rotated between zero and 360 degrees. As Wind8apps points out, ASUS will be making the Flip available in three distinct sizes, including 13.3-inch, 14-inch and 15.6-inch.

The Flip will draw power from an Intel Core i7 processor and will enjoy the services of the NVIDIA GeForce GT840M discrete graphics.

Most important, the Transformer Book Flip is equipped with a full HD (1920 x 1080) touchscreen. ASUS highlights the display comes incorporated with 6mm-diameter actuators, which is significantly more advanced than the current industry standard of 9mm.

ASUS Transformer Book V

Moving away from the flipper, the Transformer Book V is a Windows 2-in-1 laptop that arrives with a detachable Android phone, which ultimately gives you five different modes of use.

This sounds a little bit reminiscent to the Google laptop with built-in smartphone dock that was discovered in a patent not so long ago.

Anyway, let’s see what ASUS has to offer. First and foremost, there’s a 12.5-inch tablet/laptop hybrid with a detachable keyboard that runs on an Intel Core chip and Windows 8.1.

But we also have a 5-inch Android 4.4 KitKat phone equipped with 64-bit Intel Atom quad-core processor with LTE.

Now let’s see how users are going to be combining the two together. In an interesting turn of events, docking the phone will cause the Android interface to be displayed in Windows 8. And you it can even switch to full Android 4.4 (KitKat) tablet interface.

Bizarrely enough, the ASUS Transformer Book V seems to be the company’s attempt at replacing the defunct ASUS Transformer Book Duet, a 2-in-1 machine capable of switching between Windows and Android.

Transformer Book T300 Chi

Last but not least, we have the 12.5-inch detachable Transformer Book Chi tablet/laptop which arrives with LTE support. The device offers WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixel resolution) all packed in a very small frame 7.3mm / 0.28 inches.

Like in the case of the predecessor, the machine draws life from an Intel processor and enjoys a fanless design.
