Seeking to satisfy the enthusiasts' ever-growing need for better graphics, high overclocking capabilities and overall top-tier performance, most, if not all, PC hardware makers that attended CeBIT tried to grab attention with new motherboards or high-end graphics cards. Still, while 4GB adapters and motherboards that can push a CPU's frequency over the top deserve their attention, they cannot exactly make a great system on their own. To provide consumers with high-quality audio that complements bleeding-edge graphics, ASUS has put on display the Xonar Xense audio set.

The bundle that ASUS has showcased at CeBIT 2010 in Hanover, Germany, is made up of the hardware maker's own high-quality audio card and a headset developed by Sennheiser. As such, the product will see to the need of both comfort and immersive audio. Unfortunately, it is unclear exactly which Sennheiser headset model the one bundled with the card is, but ASUS did at least put up a short spec list of the audio card itself.

According to the company, the card operates on the PCI Express x1 interface and comes with 7.1 channel audio output. Crystal-clear and enthralling sound in games will be enabled by the 118dB SNR for front channel output.

Also, in order to give users a more direct control over what they themselves hear, ASUS has implemented the GX 2.5 audio engine, which permits consumers to customize the sound profile to the particular game engine by emphasizing different frequencies. Not only that, but the product boasts a headphone amplifier with up to 600ohms impedance and even the EMI Shielding was made with a touch of style.

Unfortunately, as it is the case with most of the products introduced at the Hanover expo, the pricing and availability details of the bundle have not been disclosed. Still, it shouldn't be overly long before it makes its appearance in stores.
